Stuart Borne


Stuart B. Borne is one of Colorado's most experienced and distinguished real estate finance attorneys. His exposure to this field – both as an attorney and as a participant – stretches over 27 years. He has represented some of Colorado’s biggest real estate developers and syndicators, serving both in-house and as outside counsel. Mr. Borne also was a founder and an original director of several successful banks, including Liberty National Bank, as well as the co-owner and inventor of a patented technology that is a manufacturing plug-in to ERP systems.

Mr. Borne is a third generation real estate developer who has developed over 1,000,000 square feet of modular, residential, commercial and industrial properties. He has worked on and been involved in more than 150 transactions, both as an attorney and as a principal, including multiple IPO’s, secondary offerings for both equity and debt offerings. He has represented Fortune 500 companies and has successfully created and launched four start-up enterprises, including two commercial banks.

As an attorney, Mr. Borne has transacted the acquisition and financing of real estate and development projects, mergers and acquisitions, and he actively represents both buyers and targets.

Michael J. Davis


Michael J. Davis is a partner in the firm of DLG Law Group LLC in Denver. He was formerly a partner with Archer Bay PA, Darling Milligan, and Springer Brown Covey Gaertner and Davis in Chicago, Illinois. He has practiced law for 30 years, concentrating his practice in advising both business and consumer clients as to their options regarding State and Federal commercial litigation, purchases and sales of businesses, debt resolution, workouts, and asset liquidation. He has participated in over 120 Chapter 11 cases representing both creditors and debtors, and represented Debtors in 3 Chapter 11 cases that paid creditors 100 cents on the dollar.

He is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Florida, and Colorado and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Business Committee of the Colorado Bar Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He is a past chairperson of the Bankruptcy Committee of the DuPage County Bar Association, and was Editor in Chief of the DCBA Brief, the Journal of the DuPage County Bar Association. He is a frequent contributor of articles relating to business issues in sales of businesses, and is a frequent speaker on the topic of business bankruptcy for Lorman Educational Services, the DuPage County Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association. He is a recent graduate of the Student Loan Law Workshop where he became versed in assisting consumers with student loan debt on their repayment options.

He received B.A. with honors in 1975 from the University of Notre Dame, and his J.D. in 1980 from Vanderbilt University School of Law. He was a Director of the Moot Court Board and received the Outstanding Oralist Award in Advanced Appellate Advocacy.

Lily Nierenberg


Lily Nierenberg joined the firm as a litigation associate in 2016. She advocates for clients in a wide variety of matters, including contract and property disputes, negligence and personal injury cases, and bankruptcy adversary proceedings. Prior to joining DLG Law Group, Lily gained valuable litigation experience as an associate with a small Denver firm.

Lily received her undergraduate degree from Vassar College and her law degree cum laude from University of Minnesota Law School. During law school, Lily competed on a national moot court team and worked as an editor on the Minnesota Journal of International Law, where she also published a Note.

Lily has lived all over the county but prefers Denver because of her fondness for the mountains and people of Colorado. She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and volunteers at a number of regular legal clinics. In addition to Colorado, Lily is licensed to practice law in Minnesota and Montana.

Ilene Dell'Acqua


Ilene Dell'Acqua specializes in consumer bankruptcy and has been helping people through this difficult process for over 20 years. She focuses on chapters 7 and 13 as well as general and corporate legal matters. Ilene received her bachelor's degree with Honors in English from the University of Maryland at College Park and a Master's Degree in English from New York University. She earned her law degree with Honors from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts.

David F. Murray


David focuses on commercial transactions, banking, real estate, construction, corporate, and commercial law. He serves as general counsel for numerous companies and businesses. David has a broad range of experience in real estate acquisitions, financing, sales, development, construction, and leasing. His practice ranges from contract negotiations and drafting for real estate, banking and corporate clients to the resolution and litigation of disputes for such clients. David has extensive experience in the formation and financing of limited liability companies, corporations and partnerships, including the negotiation and drafting of partnership agreements, operating agreements and shareholder agreements for such entities. Typical transactions involve a wide range of businesses and real estate development projects, including industrial, office, retail, hotel, telecommunications, ranch and farm properties, and other special uses. His experience includes the representation of corporations, banks, developers, title companies, contractors and other commercial entities. David also has extensive experience with the Uniform Commercial Code.

David’s clients represent virtually all sectors of the corporate, real estate and construction industries, including owners, developers, real estate investment groups, real estate investment trusts, institutional lenders, brokers, appraisers, property managers, leasing companies, community associations, local governments, design professionals, contractors, building product manufacturers, material suppliers and property inspectors. David routinely handles matters involving zoning, land use regulations, metropolitan districts, railroads, title and survey reviews, condemnation, complex environmental issues, mineral and water rights, facility design and construction, insurance, bonds, workouts, refinancing, evictions and bankruptcy.

David also represents numerous banks, trust companies, investment bankers, commercial finance companies, investor groups, holding companies, mortgage companies, pension funds, mortgage brokers, broker-dealers, secondary market services, foreign entities and other institutional clients. David also represents these clients in mergers, acquisitions, financing, capital raising efforts, securities offerings and liquidations.
